On the morning of Friday, April 21, the Executive Council of the UKPSA became aware of social media posts containing misleading comments made by a former member of the Association. Throughout the day, the author of these posts made periodic edits, adding to the confusion and increasing the spread of conjecture and uninformed opinions.

Recognizing the need to inform not only its members but also non-affiliated organizations and individual shooters who have a legitimate interest in understanding the Association’s response to these sensational yet ill-informed statements, the UKPSA is now sharing the Chair’s letter that was sent to the members on April 21 for wider awareness.

Please find the aforementioned letter attached below:

The UKPSA remains committed to addressing the legitimate concerns of the appropriate authorities, its membership, and the wider shooting community by providing accurate information. It is crucial to recognize that sensational social media posts may not always reflect the facts. The Association encourages anyone with genuine concerns to reach out directly, while they work diligently to ensure transparent communication within the shooting community.
