The joint Mini Rifle and PCC world shoot was announced at the General Assembly in Serbia last year, the competition is to be held in Frostproof, Florida, whilst this has been announced, there has been speculation on the barrel length requirements based on US federal laws.

There was due to be a meeting at IWA between IPSC and the match organisers, we are waiting to find out when this is rescheduled for, but when updates are available we will update you.

As a result, we would encourage anyone looking to buy kit with the long-term aim of competing at this competition, to delay their purchase until further news is announced if possible.

On a far more positive note, we are very excited to announce that ELEY have announced their continuing commitment to supporting the UKPSA, by committing to supporting the Open Mini Rifle Team competing at the event.  The funds will be allocated based on sales of ELEY’s practical ammunition brands ELEY Action, ELEY Action Plus, ELEY contact and ELEY force.

This has taken the support of a team to a new level, by offering the team, as selected by the National Squad Director, full sponsorship of the event, down to matched ammunition to their own rifle.

With the Open category being the most competitive category within the discipline, this is a chance to ensure that the best competitors are representing our country, regardless of affordability.

Both this year and next will prove to be competitive years within the mini rifle discipline, please keep up to date with further match announcements as the year progresses.

Further details on both topics will be forthcoming as and when available.
