On Sunday November 13th, 8 ladies (including 3 juniors) attended a shotgun training day hosted by Basildon Rifle and Pistol Club. Our Instructors Neil Beverly and Gary Dyer, took us through exercises on managing recoil, using recoil and body tension to aid not hinder, and shooting with our eyes shut. There was also a classroom session where we looked at the characteristics of different birdshot cartridges (power and shot size) and how course design can influence cartridge choice.
Our thanks to Neil, Gary, and Basildon Rifle and Pistol Club for delivering a fantastic day of training.
We would love to hear what you want from our project – and what is stopping you taking part so far, email to ladies@UKPSA.org. Even if you are not a competitor, this will improve your shooting and the training is great fun. All training sessions and seminars are open to any lady, beginners and experienced in any discipline. You can learn with us and then go back to share the wisdom of our great instructors with your partner or club. Come along to one of the sessions early next year to give it a try.
