The Scottish Masters IPSC Shotgun match is now established as an annual premier practical shotgun event, being hosted and run by Recoil Scotland. The second Masters match was held in June of this year at Recoil’s extensive range facilities near Shotts in North Lanarkshire.

It was the largest match in the UKPSA 2023 Competition Calendar. 14 stages shot in a day. 123 competitors with 18 of them coming from other IPSC regions. Two of whom travelled all the way from New Zealand.

The match received a lot of sponsorship, the main match supporter being Magload. This lead to a fantastic prize table. Recoil were delighted to also work with the UKPSA Ladies Project, resulting in dedicated facilities for our female competitors.

Scotland’s weather – often described as having four seasons in day! We begun the build for the match in a heat wave and ended with rain – a lot of it! – on the last day.

The 2023 match had varied stages. Recoil members built a helicopter, a fort, a taxi and it wouldn’t be Scottish without a Nessie. Carrying on the Scottish theme with skiing and toboggan stages.

So what are Recoilers dreaming up for 2024? Oh yes there will be a third Scottish Masters next year.

Planning is already underway.  Aiming to bring the same high quality stages for you to enjoy. We can also guarantee we will provide a great Scottish welcome along with good old Scottish weather!

So get ready for more fun north of the border. The event will soon be made available on the UKPSA Events Calendar.

Better still, we have held the entry fee at last year’s rate and registration is now available via https://shootnscoreit.com/event/22/18801/
